A pesar de haber trascurrido diecisiete años desde su publicación, por su interés en el campo de su investigación y por ser aun relativamente desconocido en el medio de la exégesis latinoamericana se puede juzgar pertinente analizar esta obra. El libro de Pamela E. Kinlaw presenta una visión de las expectativas que la audiencia del antiguo mundo mediterráneo (AMM) pudo tener respecto a la epifanía de Jesús. Asimismo, ofrece categorías literarias sobre el concepto joánico de encarnación, y abre un debate polémico respecto a las tendencias teológicas adoptadas por el autor(res) del cuarto evangelio y sus oponentes. Estas razones son más que suficientes para leer con detenimiento las tesis que en su libro ofrece.
Es reconocido desde hace tiempo por la crítica que en su estructura y contenido el libro de los signos (Jn 1,19-12,50) comparte cierta semejanza con las secciones iniciales de los tres primeros evangelios. También sus matices teológicos propios han sido resaltados, así como sus fuentes. Este encuentro y diferencia entre el cuarto evangelio y los sinópticos ha divido a los estudiosos respecto al análisis de sus fuentes y sus rasgos teológicos, como lo son el uso de sus fuentes, los relatos de milagros, su escatología y cristología. Este artículo pretende dar una mirada de conjunto a las líneas de investigación más relevantes en estos puntos.
Los textos publicados sobre el poshumanismo han ido creciendo en los últimos años, asimismo, la recepción del fenómeno se ha hecho cada vez más matizada y los análisis diversos. Tampoco han faltado las metáforas usadas para acercar el fenómeno, un tanto nuevo y desconocido, a otros más familiares. Entre estas metáforas, una de las primeras y, a nuestro juicio, más interesantes es la de Frankenstein. No obstante, su amplio uso, consideramos que falta un análisis más detallado de los motivos antropológicos y las estrategias narrativas que encierra el uso de esta metáfora como critica al poshumanismo. El artículo busca desarrollar dicho análisis.
La presencia de Henoc en Ben Sira ha causado discusión. La interpolación en Sir 44, 16 es reconocida en la investigación, así como la alusión a las tradiciones henóquicas de Sir 16, 7. En el estudio se sugiere que sólo el ms B de Sir 44, 16, la LXX, la Vg y el paralelo de Gen 5, 24 (TM y LXX), presentan a Henoc como modelo ético, mientras que el resto de mss y otros pasajes del Siracida favorecen una visión más legendaria y mística de Henoc.
La obra y figura teológica de Filón de Alejandría ha estado abierta a múltiples interpretaciones durante el siglo XX y lo corrido del XXI. ¿Cómo entenderlas ¿Como relectura de la tradición de la Biblia a la luz del platonismo medio, o como apología sobre el valor cultural del judaísmo ante la paideia griega? En el artículo se aborda este problema a partir de la correlación entre exégesis y teología en la obra de Filón. Este, como exégeta comenta la Torah. Su método de exégesis no es el midrash o el pesher, sino la alegoresis, propia de la tradición estoica. Como teólogo, Filón propone un sistema notable, desechado por la naciente corriente farisaico-rabínica. En el artículo se exploran dos líneas de la amplísima teología filónica. La primera expone a la teología mística como centro de su sistema teológico. La segunda trata el problema de la teodicea.
