Аннотация. Исследованы структура, магнитные и магнитотранспортные свойства перовскита Sr 0,9 Y 0,1 CoO 2,63. Показано, что образец является структурно двухфазным. Основная фаза имеет тетрагонально искаженную элементарную ячейку и описывается пространственной группой I4/ттт. Уширение рефлексов с индексами, соответствующими удвоению параметра с элементарной ячейки, указывает на отсутствие строгой трансляционной симметрии вдоль оси с. Наличие уширенного сверхструктурного рефлекса, наблюдаемого на малых углах на рентгенограммах при температуре меньше 400 К, обусловлено моноклинной фазой, содержание которой значительно меньше, чем тетрагональной. Спонтанная намагниченность появляется при формировании моноклинной фазы. Магнитная структура является преимущественно антиферромагнитной структурой G-типа с магнитными моментами 1,5µ B в слоях из октаэдров СоO 6 и 2µ B в анион-дефицитных СоO 4+γ слоях. Электропроводность состава Sr 0,9 Y 0,1 CoO 2,63 имеет полупроводниковый характер. Магнитосопротивление достигает 57 % в поле 14 Тл при температуре 5 К и значительно уменьшается с ростом температуры. A short account of the methodology used within FullProf to extract average micro-structural properties from the analysis of broadened lines of constant wavelength diffraction patterns is presented. The approach is based on the Voigt approximation and can be combined with the Rietveld method as well as with the profile matching (Le Bail fit) procedure. Both the instrumental and sample profiles are supposed to be well described by Voigt functions. To get reliable sample parameters a good knowledge of the Instrumental Resolution Function (IRF) is needed. Only a phenomenological treatment, in terms of coherent size domains and strains due to structural defects, is performed.

It has recently been reported that the ordered aeschynite-type polar (Pna21) magnets RFeWO6 (R = Eu, Tb, Dy, Y) exhibit type II multiferroic properties below T N ∼ 15–18 K. Herein, we report a comprehensive investigation of the isostructural oxide DyCrWO6 and compare the results with those of DyFeWO6. The cation-ordered oxide DyCrWO6 crystallizes in the same polar orthorhombic structure and undergoes antiferromagnetic ordering at T N = 25 K. Contrary to DyFeWO6, only a very weak dielectric anomaly and magnetodielectric effects are observed at the Néel temperature and, more importantly, there is no induced polarization at T N. Furthermore, analysis of the low-temperature neutron diffraction data reveals a collinear arrangement of Cr spins but a noncollinear Dy-spin configuration due to single-ion anisotropy. We suggest that the collinear arrangement of Cr spins may be responsible for the absence of electric polarization in DyCrWO6. A temperature-induced magnetization reversal and magnetocaloric effects are observed at low temperatures.
