Introducción: La hemorragia digestiva baja es relativamente frecuente y su incidencia está en aumento. Hasta un 15% de los pacientes requieren terapias invasivas como la endoscopía, la cirugía o la angioembolización. Siendo esta última un procedimiento seguro y efectivo como para controlar la hemorragia digestiva. Nuestro objetivo es presentar un caso de un paciente con hemorragia digestiva baja resuelto mediante angioembolización. Caso clínico: Paciente de 17 años que se presenta con enterorragia y síndrome funcional anémico que persiste con el sangrado a pesar del tratamiento médico. Se solicita una arteriografía que identifica a nivel de una rama que se dirige hacia el ángulo izquierdo del colon, dependiente de la arteria mesentérica superior, extravasación de medio de contraste, por lo que se decide realizar su embolización. Con buena evolución post procedimiento se otorga el alta. Discusión: La hemorragia digestiva baja sigue siendo un desafío diagnóstico y terapéutico. De presentarse un paciente con persistencia del sangrado la angiotomografía debería ser la primera opción diagnóstica y la angioembolización la terapéutica. Conclusiones: Se presentó el caso de un paciente joven, con una hemorragia digestiva baja de entidad, que correspondía a un vaso que irriga el ángulo izquierdo del colon. El mismo fue tratado mediante angioembolización.
