The Railway Technology Research Centre (CITEF) has developed a new data acquisition system (DAS) based on Odroid that allows the measurement of voltage signals (±10 V) for various sample frequencies up to 6.4 kHz. The DAS consists of a main box that is compact and easy to transport.
This DAS has an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) that is accessible from any browser (via Ethernet or Wi-Fi) without any installation and can be used on a mobile, tablet or laptop from any web browser. These features make the CITEF DAS perfect for performing railway measurements to
validate compliance with the standards UNE 14363 (running safety) and UNE 12299 (passenger comfort). The CITEF DAS has been validated against both laboratory measurements and experimental measurements in the field and it has been shown to be a cost-saving method compared to other sensor systems,
such as dynamometric axes or sensed bogies.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
