El presente artículo analiza el trabajo fabril de beneficiado de la castaña brasilera (bertholletia excelsa), que llevan a cabo las mujeres en la ciudad de Riberalta, Beni. A partir de los testimonios de extrabajadoras fabriles y de la revisión de fuentes secundarias, en el presente análisis, propongo delinear algu- nos temas centrales del trabajo fabril en la Amazonía norte boliviana. El análisis propuesto se centra en dos temáticas. Primero, desde la crítica de la economía política, analizo las formas de reclutamiento de la mano de obra, la explotación de la fuerza de trabajo y la subsecuente acumulación de capital. Segundo, desde los aportes feministas de la teoría de la reproducción social describo y analizo el impacto del trabajo fabril sobre el cuerpo y la salud de las mujeres y sobre la gestión de su tiempo. A partir de ambos análisis, problematizo la relación entre explotación, precarización y reproducción social en el régimen de acumulación capitalista del norte amazónico.
