Resumo Neste trabalho é investigada a influência de 4 taxas de resfriamento na obtenção da microestrutura e propriedades de um aço de alta resistência avançado, "AHSS" da classe "dual phase". Os meios utilizados para obtenção destas taxas de resfriamento foram água, ar forçado, ar ambiente e óleo. A composição química da liga utilizada para elaboração do trabalho corresponde a um aço baixo carbono com adição de Mn, Si, Cr, Mo e Nb. Os experimentos foram realizados em escala piloto, em forno tipo mufla, a partir de amostras obtidas da produção em escala industrial. As microestruturas e propriedades obtidas são compatíveis com a de um aço dual phase da classe DP1000.
