A partir del ejemplo del rol de la oralidad en la fundamentación del deber moral y jurídico en los pueblos nativos kamëntšá e inga, asentados en el suroccidente colombiano, este artículo de reflexión se propone como objetivo principal mostrar que la narrativa oral indígena funciona como una forma distintiva de argumentación que da fundamento objetivo a los deberes morales y jurídicos de una comunidad. Usando el método histórico-hermenéutico, con un enfoque de análisis documental, se muestran dos resultados significativos. El primero es que una conceptualización adecuada sobre la caracterización de la narrativa oral indígena tanto desde la perspectiva de la filosofía occidental como desde un punto de vista indígena conduce a la tesis de que la fundamentación de los deberes morales y jurídicos en las comunidades kamëntšá e inga tiene un carácter eminentemente dialógico. Un resultado adicional del análisis interpretativo es que la narrativa oral indígena es una forma de argumentación que no implica una ciega obediencia atávica. Finalmente, se concluye indicando que la fundamentación de los deberes morales y jurídicos de las comunidades kamëntšá e inga es formalmente similar a la fundamentación que han usado las tradiciones jurídicas más representativas de occidente, pero materialmente disímil tantopor su énfasis comunitario como su marcado carácter objetivo de los valores.
Objetivo. El objetivo de este trabajo es explorar tres enfoques sobre las nociones de felicidad, bienestar y florecimiento humano desde Latinoamérica, en respuesta a la discusión académica y al interés global sobre tales nociones. Metodología. El artículo sigue una ruta metodológica interpretativa y un enfoque analítico. Así, se ofrece primero un estado del arte sobre la discusión filosófica acerca del bienestar humano, y luego una argumentación que señala la particularidad de los enfoques de nociones filosóficas sobre el bienestar, el florecimiento humano y la felicidad pensadas desde Latinoamérica. Resultados. Los resultados se presentan en tres partes; en la primera parte se discute la tesis del mexicano Julio Boltvinik, quien sostiene que el florecimiento humano debe fundamentarse en una concepción sobre la esencia de la vida humana. En la segunda parte se ofrece una comparación entre la noción aristotélica de Eudaimonia y la noción nativa de Sumak Kawsay (traducida como Buen Vivir), indicando tanto las similitudes como las diferencias entre ellas. En la tercera parte se ilustra, a modo de ejemplo, cómo celebra el Buen Vivir una comunidad nativa colombiana. Conclusiones. Las conclusiones de este trabajo señalan que una reflexión filosófica del bienestar humano desde Latinoamérica, si bien es contextual, es también una conceptualización tanto universal como particular de la humana preocupación por comprender en qué consiste vivir bien.
