Zusammenfassung SummaryBioclimatic Conditions in the Steppe-Area of Southwestafrica For the steppe-area of Southwestafrica nearby Tsumeb mean diurnal variations of the following bioclimatic parameters are computed in the dry and rainy season: vapour pressure e, equivalent temperature Teq, effective temperature ET, temperature-humidity-index 77// just as the human energy and water consumption which people need for heating and water vapour saturation of their breathing air. The frequencies of sultriness are also determined with the empiric sultriness-boundaries e = 14,08 Torr, Teq = 56,0~ and ET = 24,0~From the point of bioclimate the results show that the dry season is more suitable for the man than the rainy season, because the effect of air-temperature and air-humidity together is not so great and the probability of sultriness is smaller than in the rainy season.
