Os insetos de solo são fundamentais para o equilíbrio dos agroecossistemas. Facilmente coletáveis, caracterizam-se por serem excelentes bioindicadores do sistema como um todo. Objetivou-se com este trabalho, realizar um levantamento de insetos edáficos em um sistema convencional e um de base ecológica, avaliando qual ambiente proporciona maior biodiversidade. Foram utilizadas armadilhas do tipo “Pitfall traps” confeccionadas a partir de garrafas pet (2L) cortadas ao meio a uma altura de 15 cm no período seco e 20 cm no período chuvoso, enterradas com a borda no nível do solo, cada uma contendo 500 ml de água e 5 gotas de detergente, colocando-se 5 armadilhas em cada área de cultivo e distribuídas de forma aleatória. Os insetos coletados foram armazenados em recipientes contendo álcool 70% para a conservação. O processo de triagem, quantificação e classificação em nível de ordem foram efetuadas no laboratório de biologia do Campus Professor Barros Araújo da UESPI. As armadilhas mostraram-se eficientes para a captura de insetos. Em ambos os sistemas, a ordem Hymenoptera apresentou-se como a mais abundante, seguida pela Coleoptera. O número de insetos capturados no sistema convencional foi menor. O sistema ecológico obteve uma maior diversidade de ordens.
Diante da importância do conhecimento da seletividade de herbicidas na cultura do feijão-caupi, e a busca em levar ao produtor a maximização no controle de plantas daninhas. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar a fitotoxicidade da aplicação exógena de diferentes herbicidas pós-emergência na cultura do feijão-caupi. Os tratamentos constitui-se da aplicação de fomesafen, 250 g L-1 i.a. nas doses de 15,0 e 7,5g L-1 i.a. e do fluazifop-p-butil, 250 g L-1 i.a., nas doses de 20,0 e 10,0 g L-1 i.a. e testemunha (sem aplicação dos herbicidas), arranjados em delineamento inteiramente casualizado (DIC) e com cinco repetições. Após à aplicação dos herbicidas e em diferentes períodos de avaliação, determinou-se a fitoxicidade (%), número de flores (NF) e de vagem (NV), altura de plantas (cm), diâmetro do colmo (mm), massa verde e seca da parte aérea (g). Os resultados revelam que o herbicida fomesafen provoca maior fitotoxidez em plantas de feijão-caupi, diminuindo a altura das plantas, no entanto, não interfere em massas verde e seca da parte aérea, diâmetro de caule, números de flores e de vagens. Aos 35 dias após à aplicação, as plantas que receberam as doses 7,5 g L-1 e 15 g L-1 i.a. de fomesafen e de 10 g L-1 e 20 g L-1 i.a. do herbicida fluazifop-p-butil apresentaram médias semelhantes entre si, e a testemunha, em virtude da recuperação das plantas. Conclui-se que, o herbicida fomesafen causa fitoxicidade as plantas de feijão-caupi, refletindo no desempenho das plantas e o fluazifop-p-butil não provoca sintomas de fitoxicidade.
Este trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar os efeitos de diferentes substratos orgânico na produção da alface submetidos a diferentes condições de luminosidade, usando telas de sombreamentos de 30, 50, 70 e 80% desombreamento e um campo aberto. Os substratos orgânicos utilizados foram o Mata-pasto, Flor de Seda, Jitirana, Esterco bovino e o produto comercial Basaplant (testemunha). O delineamento experimental utilizado foi inteiramente casualizados, em esquema fatorial 5 x 5 com 4 repetições. Foi observado que os ambientes protegidos reduziram a temperatura do ar média e máxima, a luminosidade média e máxima e a Umidade relativa do ar média e máxima em comparação com o campo aberto. Os produtos Flor de seda e Mata-pasto, no geral, se mostrou superior aos demais adubos orgânicos. Para o cultivo de alface em locais onde a temperatura e a luminosidades são altas e a umidade do ar são baixas, autilização de tela de sombrites entre 50 e 70% de sombreamentos são as recomedadas.
