La micoplasmosis es considerada una enfermedad emergente entre las poblaciones de vida silvestre. El presente trabajo reporta el caso de micoplasmosis en tres Procyon cancrivorus en cautiverio en la ciudad de Asunción, Paraguay. El diagnóstico se realizó a partir de citología, por medio de frotis de sangre periférica utilizando tinción de Giemsa y Diffquick. Los tres animales fueron tratados con enrofloxacina (10 mg/kg), presentando una rápida y pronta recuperación.
RESUMEN.Los humedales son ecosistemas con alta diversidad biológica. En la Ciudad de Benjamín Aceval existen humedales que albergan una gran cantidad de especies de aves, sin embargo pocos son los estudios sobre la ornitofauna que habita el humedal periurbano. Para investigar la composición y riqueza de las aves se realizaron 37 salidas de observación en 13 puntos entre el 2016 y 2018. Se registraron 272 especies de aves pertenecientes a 55 familias, siendo Passeriformes el Orden con el mayor número de registros. Los resultados del presente trabajo pueden contribuir como base de diseño de estrategias de conservación en la zona, pues actualmente sigue sufriendo modificaciones urbanísticas en el área de estudio.
