We are in front of a new digital revolution that will transform the way we understand and use services and infrastructures. One of the key factors of this revolution is related to the evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT). Connected sensors will be installed in cities and homes affecting the daily life of people and providing them new ways of performing their daily activities. However, this revolution will also affect business and industry bringing the IoT to the production processes in what is called Industry 4.0. Sensor-enabled manufacturing equipment will allow real time communication, smart diagnosis and autonomous decision making. In this scope, the Industrial Data Spaces (IDS) Association has created a Reference Architecture model that aims to provide a common frame for designing and deploying Industry IoT infrastructures. In this paper, we present an implementation of such Reference Architecture based on FIWARE open source software components (Generic Enablers). We validate the proposed architecture by deploying and testing it in a real industry use case that tries to improve the maintenance and operation of milling machines. We conclude that the FIWARE-based IDS implementation fits the requirements of the IDS Reference Architecture providing open source software suitable to any Industry 4.0 environment.

The geographic scope of Web pages is becoming an essential dimension of Web search, especially for mobile users. This paper shows a multistage method for assigning a geographic focus to Web pages (GeoReferencing) according to their textual contents. We suggest several heuristics for the disambiguation of toponyms and a scoring procedure for focus determination. Furthermore, we provide an experimental methodology for evaluating the accuracy. Finally, we obtained promising results of over 70% accuracy with a city-level resolution.

Abstract. The Internet of the Future is expected to be composed of a mesh of interoperable Web Services accessed from all over the Web. This approach has not yet caught on since a global user-service interaction is still an open issue. This paper states our position with regard to the next generation front-end technology for the Internet of the Future. This approach will enable the massive deployment of services over the Internet in a user-centric fashion. This paper advocates the full development of front-end technologies to bring services closer to users, empowering them anytime and anywhere. It also outlines all the main gaps and technological challenges that have to be addressed. Finally, a model and an architecture are proposed for building these technologies into NESSI's Open Framework Reference Architecture, NEXOF-RA.

This paper discusses the rationale behind Telefónica's strategic decision for Enterprise Mobility Solutions and presents MorfeoMC: an open source vertical componentbased platform for rapidly developing mobile applications and services that can be used to create comprehensive and integrated mobility solutions while concealing the complexity involved in managing multiple devices. The key architectural decisions in MorfeoMC are described, and the reasoning behind their selection is presented and compared with related work. For these purposes, the paper focuses on the MorfeoMC's Rendering Layer, and describes how it allows for the development of applications and services according to a Channel Model supported by the principles of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). It is stressed how thisapproach avoids the need for duplicating the services that implement the business logic when another access channel is added, thanks to its architecture of code generators. Finally, other key elements and techniques in MorfeoMC are also discussed.

There are still many web sites that are unaware of mobile presentation and, when accessed from handheld devices, offer a poor user experience. In this paper we present both an adaptive content crawling and a ranking method that enable to measure the suitability of a web page against a target device and web browser. Our proposed techniques could be used by context-aware mobile web search engines, ranking pages not only from the textual relevancy point of view, but also from its adaptability to the delivery context. Our experimental results reveal high accuracy for the devised method.
