AbstractWe speak of san Indalecio, one of the seven apostolic men, as a possible patron of Aragon because the story of his existence followed in the wake of his teacher Santiago, the patron saint of Spain. The disciple of the apostle, like his six companions, figured as an outstanding "impersonator" of Christ, a suitable candidate to glorify local, regional and ecclesiastical history. In this scenario some Aragonese writers climbed such as Dr. Vicencio Blasco de Lanuza and the abbot don Juan Briz, among others, who showed somewhat different positions. In addition, the jealousy of Blasco de Lanuza to abbot Briz came to light and, into the bargain, to the canon and chronicler Dr. Bartolomé Leonardo de Argensola (chronicler of Aragon and the Crown of Aragon).
