ResumoEste artigo propõe uma reflexão em torno do conceito de pulsão anarquista cunhado por Nathalie Zaltzman em texto homônimo durante 1979; conceito que articula certa manifestação específica da pulsão de morte: servir à vida como último recurso para a sobrevivência. Seu objetivo principal é tratar desse último recurso que emerge quando o indivíduo está diante de experiências de precariedade aguda. Assim, o estudo de um caso é o pano de fundo da reflexão de Zaltzman em torno dessas situações chamadas de experiências limite, nas quais as garantias de sobrevivência e de unidade são arruinadas, isto é, quando os excessos de privação ou de um amor totalitário e paralisante ameaçam a sobrevivência do indivíduo. Por conta disso, o ímpeto libertário do anarquismo torna-se a figura para essa pulsão de morte, já que, nessas situações, é dele que se alimenta o sujeito para sobreviver. Com essa construção teórica é possível verificar a necessidade de reconhecer o papel da pulsão de morte sem a moralização de suas exigências.

Resumo Abordamos a história política da psicanálise como um movimento em torno de ideias e práticas psicológicas não para construir uma historiografia desse movimento, mas para esboçar uma narrativa de valor histórico sobre certos aspectos institucionais da psicanálise que indicam o modo pelo qual ela fez política em meio a sua institucionalização. Partimos do posicionamento político dos psicanalistas e suas teorias para delimitar algumas interpenetrações entre ambos, examinando três autores, Paul Federn, Otto Fenichel e Ernest Jones, passando em seguida à constituição do movimento psicanalítico e à propaganda da causa freudiana. Nossa hipótese é de que, apesar das diferentes posições e forças políticas dentro da psicanálise, elas convergiram em direção à defesa de uma causa. Assim, fica mais clara a constituição e a expansão do movimento psicanalítico durante suas primeiras cinco décadas rumo a uma aparente unificação.
Desenvolvemos aqui as implicações ‘éticas’ das concepções de Otto Fenichel (1897-1945) sobre a finalidade prática do conhecimento psicanalítico e sobre a função terapêutica da psicanálise, pois Fenichel elabora uma concepção de prática psicanalítica que vale a pena ser revisitada a partir de um tipo de debate que remete os problemas da prática psicanalítica a uma ‘ética psicanalítica’. Para cumprir este objetivo, propomos uma investigação histórica e teórica das concepções de Fenichel a partir de uma leitura estrutural de sua obra, remetendo a arquitetura interna de seus argumentos e conceitos ao conjunto de sua obra e ao contexto de produção dela. Primeiramente, contextualizamos a produção da concepção de Fenichel sobre a prática psicanalítica em meio às disputas institucionais do movimento psicanalítico europeu e estadunidense. Depois, discutimos o projeto de ‘psicologia dialético-materialista’ de Fenichel para extrair a concepção do autor sobre o conhecimento psicanalítico. Em terceiro lugar, apresentamos como a concepção de Fenichel sobre a finalidade prática do conhecimento psicanalítico serve como condição central de seu entendimento sobre a prática psicanalítica. Finalmente, localizadas as noções de Fenichel sobre a finalidade prática do conhecimento psicanalítico e a função terapêutica da psicanálise, desenvolvemos as implicações éticas da concepção de Fenichel sobre a prática psicanalítica.
