O objetivo principal desta pesquisa foi compreender os aspectos psicológicos de pacientes com IRC durante o período de inserção ao tratamento hemodialítico no decorrer do processo de internação. A metodologia empregada para este estudo foi de caráter qualitativo, tendo como estratégia de pesquisa um estudo de casos múltiplos. Participaram desta pesquisa 06 pacientes internados que estavam iniciando o tratamento hemodialítico em um hospital de referência em saúde renal no estado do Pará. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir do acompanhamento psicológico dos pacientes, da observação participante, registro em diários de campo e análise documental (levantamento de prontuários). Os resultados nos indicam que os participantes da pesquisa apresentam uma visão predominantemente negativa sobre a hemodiálise. Sinalizam que o início do tratamento hemodialítico atrelado a longa internação hospitalar, se configura como um fator que contribuí para o sofrimento psíquico do paciente. Podendo estar relacionado com a intensificação de queixas referentes a hospitalização, a inquietude e ao surgimento de sintomas psicológicos de ansiedade no aguardo de vaga ambulatorial e a intensificação de sintomatologia depressiva, principalmente quando o paciente percebe a ausência do suporte familiar e social. O estudo realizado contribuiu para a promoção da reflexão sobre a importância do acompanhamento psicológico em meio condições desfavoráveis decorrentes da inserção do paciente em hemodiálise durante o processo de internação.
Este trabalho se dedica a pensar a relação da Psicologia como agente colaborador e facilitador durante o acolhimento nos casos de pacientes com tentativa de suicídio. Diante da sua perspectiva multidimensional, faz-se necessário o entendimento do processo de acolhimento pelos psicólogos através da psicoterapia do contato, ou seja, a Gestalt-terapia, aos clientes que apresentem essa demanda, com o propósito de restaurar e expandir esse contato, a tomada de consciência do cliente, a fim de promover a ampliação de sua awareness, sob a luz da Gestalt-terapia, propiciando um efetivo suporte emocional empático e acolhedor. Para a elaboração deste estudo, foi empregada a revisão integrativa da literatura, dos últimos cinco anos, em artigos científicos relacionados à temática citada, coletadas na base de dados das plataformas Pepsic (Periódicos Eletrônicos em Psicologia), Scielo (Scientific Eletronic Library Online) e Google Acadêmico. Daí a importância de adotarmos mecanismos que ofereçam suporte a fim de fortalecer o ciclo de contato do cliente, para que não haja bloqueios, interrupções ou até mesmo a descontinuação desse ciclo.
