O processo de ocupação dos territórios dos indígenas Kaingang, na maioria das regiões do Rio Grande do Sul, até meados do século XX, ocorreu pela intensificação da migração de descendentes de alemães e italianos instalados no estado. Na Serrinha, área que será analisada neste artigo, não foi diferente. Os kaingang lutaram para se manter ou reconquistar a posse de sua terra, mas o processo colonizador, orientado pelo poder público, os venceu.
O artigo apresenta discussões a respeito da importância da História Local como método de abordagem ao longo do Ensino Fundamental, para constituir-se como uma ferramenta que possibilita a (re) construção, ou identificação das identidades locais, considerando os elementos culturais, para que vise suavizar os impactos do processo de globalização sob as identidades. Caracteriza-se por ser uma pesquisa qualitativa, sob o método relativista, que entrevistou professores e gestores que atuam em escolas públicas municipais e estaduais dos municípios de Herveiras e Rio Pardo, do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Os resultados mostram que a História Local tem um papel significativo na Educação Patrimonial e na construção das memórias que levam ao relevante processo de construção das identidades.
O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender o surgimento das Escolas Famílias Agrícolas no Brasil, durante o período da ditadura militar. Neste sentido, inicialmente será apresentada uma breve contextualização sobre a ditadura e alguns dos seus impactos. Posteriormente, será traçado um panorama histórico em torno do surgimento das Escolas Famílias Agrícolas na França, Itália e África. Para finalizar, o texto apresenta um estudo mais aprofundado e com um caráter de análise a respeito da experiência da Pedagogia da Alternância no Brasil, a partir do caso do Espírito Santo e da Bahia, atentando para o surgimento das Escolas Famílias Agrícolas e suas articulações, buscando entender os elementos que influenciam nas articulações das EFAs em território nacional, frente ao momento político abordado.
A formação socioespacial e histórico-cultural do Alto Uruguai rio-grandense foi pautada pela ação do Estado, em especial pela atuação da Diretoria de Terras e Colonização. Ao mesmo tempo, os vários grupos sociais envolvidos reagiram e resistiram, interferindo no curso do processo desencadeado pelos diferentes governos. A região era coberta por uma densa floresta, com presença de ervais, que servia de moradia e sustento para caboclos e indígenas. Grande parte das terras era devoluta, na ótica governamental, públicas. Por isso, o poder público as vendeu para imigrantes, com a finalidade de ampliar sua densidade demográfica, desencadeando vários conflitos étnico-culturais.
