A pandemia causada pela Covid-19 trouxe ao planeta os mais inúmeros impactos, em especial na área da saúde. De forma mais específica, as complicações e impactos vasculares que são consequências da doença se revelam a cada dia, e justifica-se a escolha do tema pela necessidade de maiores estudos sobre as complicações vasculares causadas pelo vírus. O estudo possui por objetivo geral estudar as complicações vasculares pós doença retratadas na literatura. A metodologia adotada no estudo foi a bibliográfica, através de um estudo exploratório e descritivo sobre o tema e assuntos relacionados. Foram abordados os principais pontos acerca do tema em si das complicações vasculares pós Covid-19, bem como de assuntos ao tema relacionados, como a pandemia trazida pela Covid-19. Para melhor discussão, os resultados foram agrupados em categorias e discutido os achados com a literatura pertinente. Conclui-se que as complicações vasculares pós Covid-19 se revelam em números cada vez mais crescentes, indicando que medidas devam sem tomadas no sentido de prevenir tais complicações.
Introdução: Vários autores descrevem diferentes modelos de aterosclerose experimental, muitos deles, sem descrições claras dos métodos e na maioria das vezes utilizando colesterol puro misturado a ração, o que torna o experimento mais caro e complexo. Objetivo: objetivando a padronização de um modelo de dieta experimental simples, facilmente reprodutível e de baixo custo, testamos três diferentes modelos de dieta experimental para verificar qual destas é mais eficaz. Material e método: Foram utilizados 42 coelhos de raça Nova Zelândia adultos machos, criados em gaiolas individuais apropriadas. Os coelhos foram randomizados, pesados e divididos em 6 grupos com 7 animais, sendo um controle e os demais fazendo uso de dietas hipercolesterolêmicas diferentes. A coleta do sangue foi realizada após jejum de 12 horas, em todos os coelhos, para verificação de suas taxas de colesterol total, HDL-c e LDL-c e triglicerídeos. Após os dias de experimento os animais foram eutanasiados e fragmentos vasculares foram removidos para análise histológica. Resultado: O grupo G1 manteve, próximos, as taxas do perfil lipídicos desde suas primeiras análises; os grupos G2 e G3 aumentaram de forma significante os níveis de colesterol total, grupos G4 não obteve dados significantes, G5 e G6 não se adaptaram as dietas. Ao exame microscópico observou-se células espumosas no arco aórtico, carótida e femoral. O espessamento na aorta no G3 foi superior ao grupo G2. Conclusão: A administração de 20 ml de gema crua de ovo de galinha é funcional, mais barata e mais eficaz para modelos experimentais que envolvam estudos do perfil lipídico e produção de aterosclerose experimental.
