Esta investigación cuantitativa analiza las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre el uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación en el contexto educativo por medio de la ciencia de datos. La minería de datos permite identificar los modelos predictivos sobre el impacto de la tecnología considerando los aspectos sobre el perfil de los estudiantes (edad, género y licenciatura), las herramientas digitales Web 2.0 (Facebook, Twitter, videos Youtube) y las aplicaciones en Internet (calculadora web, simulador web y servicio en la nube). Asimismo, la regresión lineal indica que el uso de las herramientas 2.0 y aplicaciones en Internet influyen positivamente el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Por último, la ciencia de datos permite establecer los modelos predictivos sobre el uso de la tecnología en el campo educativo.
Esta investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa analiza el impacto del servicio en la nube WeVideo durante el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Los estudiantes de la asignatura Matemáticas Computacionales utilizan esta aplicación web con el propósito de construir y presentar diversos contenidos audiovisuales relacionados con los temas de Base de datos, Sistema ERP, Sistema CRM y Minería de datos. La muestra está conformada por 20 alumnos que cursan la Licenciatura en Gestión de Negocios y Tecnologías de Información en la Universidad La Salle México durante el ciclo escolar 2017. Este estudio mixto analiza el uso del servicio en la nube WeVideo en el campo educativo por medio de las siguientes variables: Asimilación del conocimiento, Utilidad, Interfaz web y Percepciones de los estudiantes. Los resultados obtenidos indican que WeVideo es una herramienta idónea para el proceso educativo debido a que los universitarios presentan un rol activo en el aprendizaje durante la creación y presentación de los contenidos audiovisuales. En conclusión, las nuevas tecnologías facilitan la planeación e implementación de escenarios innovadores y creativos para el aprendizaje y la enseñanza.
