Este texto na perspectiva do Sínodo da Amazônia acontece num contexto de extrema relevância tendo em vista a realidade dos graves impactos sociais, econômicos, culturais e ambientais nesta região que compreende nove países da América do Sul. Traz a Igreja e sociedade o desafio de se conhecer mais profundamente os povos originários e as comunidades tradicionais para uma ação efetiva e engajada de solidariedade profética aos Povos Indígenas e aos Povos da Floresta. Neste propósito de conhecer as culturas, opta-se por adentrar na cultura de um desses povos, cujo ethos é caminhar em busca da Terra Sem Males, o povo Mbya Guarani, que pelo próprio modo de ser, marca presença em seus territórios tradicionais, do Rio Grande do Sul ao Espírito Santo, (RS, SC, PR, SP, RJ e ES) e posteriormente chegando também no Pará, além da Argentina, Uruguai, Paraguai e Bolívia. O povo Mbya Guarani sobreviveu há mais de 500 anos ao projeto colonizador e tem resistido ao projeto neo-colonizador com muita sabedoria. Além disso, pode nos ensinar o Bem Viver onde aconteça o respeito à Mãe Terra, a harmonia e interação do ser humano e a biodiversidade da Casa Comum.
