El costo de capital se entiende como la rentabilidad esperada sobre la inversión realizada en la empresa por parte de los inversionistas (Besley, Brigham, y Gomez, 2001), este indicador se puede ver afectado por el cambio de estándares contables. Es por esto que el objetivo de la investigación es identificar el efecto en el costo de capital de las principales empresas colombianas listadas en el índice bursátil COLCAP, tras la adopción de las Normas Internacionales de Información Financiera (IFRS), por medio del análisis de diferentes empresas entre el 2009 y 2017, a través de los modelos Mínimos Cuadrados Generalizados Factibles (FGLS) y con Error Estándar Corregido en el Panel (PCSE), tomando información calculada bajo el estándar contable local y el internacional. Se evidencia que el implementar las IFRS, no genera un efecto significativo en el costo de capital, a diferencia de variables como el endeudamiento, el margen operacional, el ROE y el crecimiento de las empresas. Igualmente, se concluye que a nivel general la normativa contable inicial y la posterior son indiferentes para el cálculo del costo de capital, sin embargo, a nivel particular esta implementación hizo que algunas variables específicas si tuvieran efecto.
Para cumplir con sus obligaciones, el gobierno establece un presupuesto público, en donde tiene en cuenta una serie de ingresos, como los impuestos, gravámenes y tasas, por lo tanto, necesita un sistema tributario que determine las cargas impositivas y los mecanismos para su recaudo. Dentro de los problemas que afectan la economía de los países se encuentra la evasión de impuestos, debido a que esto impide que el Estado reúna los recursos económicos necesarios para asegurar el bienestar de los ciudadanos. El objetivo principal de este artículo es establecer la razón por el cual las personas evaden sus deberes fiscales, para esto se realiza un estudio descriptivo teniendo en cuenta una metodología cualitativa. Inicialmente se definen y caracterizan los sistemas tributarios a nivel mundial, al igual que se analiza su evolución y se identifican cuáles son los más utilizados en países europeos y latinoamericanos; particularmente para Colombia, se analiza la evolución de las normas tributarias relacionadas con los impuestos de renta y de IVA. Posteriormente, se establecen definiciones sobre la evasión de impuestos y se revisan antecedentes sobre la tasa de evasión del impuesto de renta en Colombia. Finalmente, se estudian las causas que motivan a las personas a cometer este delito. Como parte de los principales hallazgos, se encuentra que los países desarrollados mantienen un sistema progresivo, mientras que los latinoamericanos operan con un sistema regresivo, perjudicando en mayor medida a las personas de menores ingresos por medio de impuestos indirectos. Como consecuencia de la desigualdad social y económica y la falta de efectividad del sistema tributario, las personas se sienten influenciadas para evadir impuestos; así mismo, este problema se atribuye a aspectos sociales o culturales, políticos, económicos, jurídicos, técnicos y administrativos.
El objetivo de este artículo fue proponer y aplicar un método de valoración para las pymes en Colombia. Se diseñó una metodología de valoración basada en el flujo de caja y se utilizó en las empresas Colombiana de Carnes CJC S. A. S., Comercial Química Ltda. y Distrimarcas S. A. S. con información del 2002 al 2016. En las empresas objeto de estudio se realizó un análisis estratégico para analizar los factores de éxito y los riesgos que tiene el sector, conjuntamente se evaluó su información contable y financiera para finalmente realizar las proyecciones necesarias para determinar el valor intrínseco de las pymes. Se encontró que la valoración es mayor al valor de los activos en las empresas de estudio, a excepción de CJC S. A. S. que registra un valor menor debido a que sus flujos de caja libre han disminuido por problemas en la administración de sus recursos operacionales. Este modelo de valoración demuestra que es consistente con la información financiera y con la situación de la empresa por lo que es adecuado para aplicarlo en la mayoría de las pymes en Colombia realizando los ajustes pertinentes al sector y particularidades de cada una.
La evasión de impuestos es un problema recurrente en los países en desarrollo como Colombia, en donde se focaliza esfuerzos para su disminución. Este artículo determina la tasa de evasión del impuesto de renta en Colombia para el sector industrial, comercial y de servicios entre el 2013-2015, a través del método del potencial tributario legal que compara el ingreso neto gravable con el ingreso neto potencial estimado. Principalmente, se evidencia una tendencia a la baja en la tasa de evasión de impuestos, pero también que el sector industrial cuenta con la tasa más elevada entre los sectores analizados.
