Texto recibido el 08/03/2013 Texto aceptado el 04/09/2013 LA COVA D'EN PARDO: BALANCE DE UN PRO-YECTO DE INVESTIGACIÓN En el IV Congreso del Neolítico Peninsular (Alicante, 2006) se presentaba un avance de la secuencia cultural de la Cova d'En Pardo (Soler et al. 2008) un año antes de en la sala de la derecha se habían venido desarrollando desde 1993 dentro del programa de excavaciones ordina-Casi una década antes (Soler et al. 1999) se había presentado un análisis preliminar de la secuencia a partir de -correspondencias culturales de cinco niveles sedimentoet al. 1988):Se presentan los resultados de las excavaciones llevadas a cabo en la Cova d'En Pardo (Planes, Alicante), concretamente los niveles VIII y VIIIb. El desarrollo de un proyecto multidisciplinar ha permitido caracterizar la ocupación de una pequeña cavidad por parte de las primeras comunidades campesinas asociadas al inicio del proceso de neolitización del levante de la península Ibérica.
Las cerámicas esgrafiadas, pese a su limitada presencia en el registro si se compara con otro tipo de decoraciones, han servido para definir cronológica y culturalmente la segunda mitad del V milenio cal AC en buena parte del sector oriental de la península ibérica. En este artículo nos centraremos en las series cerámicas de la Cova d’En Pardo (Planes, Alicante) y la Cova del Randero (Pedreguer, Alicante) que, por su amplitud y variabilidad estilística, permiten realizar una aproximación detallada a este tipo de producciones. Analizamos estos conjuntos, y otras evidencias del área oriental y meridional de la península ibérica, desde la perspectiva del estilo y de la cadena operativa implicada en su fabricación. Esto nos permite concretar un conjunto de similitudes y divergencias que sirven para abordar, desde una perspectiva mediterránea, su incidencia en las relaciones sociales y económicas del Neolítico Medio.
