This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on the learning achievement of Pancasila education and citizenship of students at SMA Negeri 5 Yogyakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, the data collected is in the form of quantitative data (PPKn learning achievement or report cards) and data qualitative quantified (emotional intelligence), this research was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Yogykarta in March 2020. Number of samples in this study were 720 respondents, with details of class X having 8 classes, class XI there are 8 classes and class XII there are 8 classes, so there are a total of 24 classes. Of the 24 classes (from each class) a sample of 30 students was taken using simple random sampling technique. Data obtained from questionnaires are then processed by a simple regression analysis and coefficient of determination (R2). For the data on emotional intelligence (X), the researchers took the data by distributing questionnaires, while the students' learning achievement scores for Pancasila and Citizenship Education (Y) were the final grades (report cards) in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The results showed: statistical analysis. produces a regression equation Y = 74.298 + 0.165 X, meaning that if the value of emotional intelligence (X) increases by 1 unit, the learning achievement value of PPKn (Y) will increase by 0.165 units with a constant value of 74,298. Hypothesis testing shows that the independent variable emotional intelligence is proven to significantly affect the dependent learning achievement of PPKn. The coefficient of determination (R2) obtained was 0.59 (5.9%), meaning that the variable has an influence emotional intelligence contributes 5.9% to the achievement variable learn PPKn and 94.1% are influenced by other factors outside emotional intelligence variable.
The values of the national character become an important problem if there is still a disgraceful attitude or behavior carried out by a person in his daily life which results in disrupting the life of the community, nation and state. The rapid development of times and technology without good character or behavior will be a problem. The attitudes and behavior of a student that we often encounter, such as fights between students, brawls, drug abuse, drinking and promiscuity will have a negative impact on the development of student character. Synergy is needed between parents, teachers and the community in character building and development. In Pancasila and Citizenship Education aims to make someone a good citizen, have character and make a human being who is democratic and has Pancasila values. The formation of student or student character cannot be obtained instantly, of course, through a process according to a person's stages of development. Forming a character takes a continuous amount of time which eventually becomes an expected character. A comprehensive approach will be able to develop and make someone have good character. The formation and development of character with a comprehensive approach, namely through inculcation or planting of values, giving role models, facilitation and the development of skills (soft skill).
Keberadaan sebuah organisasi tentu tidak dapat terlepas dari sebuah tujuan tertentu. Ada sebuah korelasi yang tidak dapat terpisahkan antara keduanya. Namun tidaklah mudah untuk mencapai tujuan sebuah organisasi yang baik tanpa disertai keterlibatan dan hubungan komponen pendukung lainnya. Diawali dari perumusan tujuan dan kepentingan, pemilihan pemimpin yang dapat mengelola organisasi tersebut, manajemen dan pengelolaan organisisasi maupun evaluasi atas keberhasilan dari manajemen organisasi tersebut. Dalam menjalankan sebuah organisasi dibutuhkan pengelola yang memiliki kompetensi dan kredibilitas serta perfoma yang memadai agar dapat menjalankan kemudi organisasi dengan sebaik-baiknya. Diawali dengan memilih calon pemimpin organisasi serta mempertimbangkan kemampuan pengelolaannya hal itu hendaknya menjadi pertimbangan yang serius bagi sebuah organisasi. Setelah memilih pemimpin yang baik, selanjutnya yang perlu diperhatikan adalah bagaimana kebersamaan dan kekompakan semua komponen dan personil yang terlibat dalam organisasi tersebut dalam hal ini antara lain persamaan persepsi semua personil yang ada, semangat, dedikasi dan loyalitasnya terhadap organisasi juga menjadi sesuatu yang amat penting demi tercapainya tujuan organisasi. Dengan kebersamaan dan kekompakan niscaya akan tercipta suasana kerja yang baik, aman dan nyaman, maka hal itu akan mempermudah pula sebuah organisasi itu mencapai tujuan yang telah dirumuskannya.
Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, perkembangan dunia dan tuntutan kebutuhan manusia mengalami peningkatan pesat. Di sisi lain usia bumi dan alam yang menyediakan semua bahan kebutuhan manusia juga mengalami penuaan. Mengingat semua kepentingan tersebut maka manusia harus memperhatikan kelesterian alam agar ketersediaan bahan kebutuhan hidupnya tercukupi. Oleh karena itu, kehidupan yang ramah lingkungan adalah salah satu jawaban untuk menghadapi masalah tersebut.Konsep ramah lingkungan adalah satu konsep solusi untuk penghematan dan pengurangan limbah hasil industri global yang mungkin dapat memberi dampak negatif terhadap kelestarian alam. Padahal lestarinya alam semesta adalah demi kepentingan dan kelangsungan hidup di masa datang, untuk generasi mendatang. Salah satu konsep pelestarian adalah dengan menjaga ekosistem air yang merupakan sumber kehidupan utama bagi manusia dan makhluk lain di sekitarnya. Dengan konsep hidup ramah lingkungan, maka kita telah memberi kontribusi bagi kelangsungan hidup generasi masa datang. Oleh karena itu, semua komponen masyarakat hendaknya mempunyai kepedulian akan hal ini. Menjaga ekosistem air, berarti kita memperpanjang usia bumi dan generasi berikutnya.
Education aims to educate and create the nation's future generation with character. However, problems like brawls, violence, abuse of narcotics, illegal drugs, and promiscuity still occur among students. It becomes the concern of parents and teachers in educating and leading students to develop their character. The teacher is obligated to develop Pancasila and Citizenship Education learning model suitable for students to have good character. Through character education, it hoped that it would produce a sound generation. The educational process that gives birth to the expected character is, of course, gradual. This study aimed to find out Pancasila and Citizenship Education learning model for developing students' character. Research using mixed methods research with data collection, analysis, and mixing both quantitative data and qualitative. This study used quantitative and qualitative approaches in collecting data through interviews and questionnaires. The results showed that Pancasila and Citizenship Education Learning model based on character education through a comprehensive approach could develop and shape the students' character, such as inculcation, modelling, values facilitation, and skill-building. Through character development, it hoped that good characters expected to form permanently.
