WHO announced the Covid-19 as Global Pandemic in early 2020? This condition immediately urged universities to migrate their instructional process to fully online learning as a result of the suggestion of physical distancing. This situation indeed results in the shock of the culture of learning and teaching. Following its shock, of course, questions arise related to the readiness of higher education in implementing fully online learning. This study aims to measure the readiness of lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed), in implementing digital learning. This study investigates the readiness from the normative belief perspectives. Normative belief is one of the critical antecedents of behavioral intention, as explained in The Theory of Planned Behavior [1]. The respondents of this study were lecturers and students at the Faculty of Economics, Unimed. This study uses simple random sampling to select the sample. With the snowball technique, this study collected 226 responses. 85 respondents were a lecturer, and 141 was a student. Data collection was carried out with an electronic questionnaire designed with 5-Likert scales. This study examines the differences of responses between lecturers and students as well as between men and women to avoid response bias. The results of this study indicate that lecturers and students have firm beliefs regarding their readiness to migrate learning activities to the online platform. Likewise, the findings of this study also indicate nervousness in the migration. The results of this study provide challenges for learning researchers and Education technology to produce recommendations for learning models that are suitable for implementing quality learning on digital platforms. The same challenge is faced with universities and regulators to develop best practices in teaching practices and regulations that urge innovation in teaching practices.

The aim of the study was to produce teaching material for Macroeconomics Theory. The Research and Development (R&D) method by Borg and Gall was used in this study. The population of this study was all Economic Education Study Program’s students who took Macroeconomics courses in 2019. The sample was determined by using the purposive random sampling principle and the sample class made for the implementation and limited testing of small sample was Class C of Economic Education. Based on the result of the study, it was decided that the teaching material for Macroeconomics Theory that has been validated by 2 expert validators had a very high level of eligibility (88.75%) provided revisions were needed. After it has been fully revised, the material was tested to all 30 students of Class C of Economic Education during Macroeconomics Theory course. Based on the testing conducted to the small sample, it showed that there was a significant improvement of the learning outcomes before and after the blended-learning based teaching material was implemented. The result was all the user-friendliness, usability, and time effectiveness factor have an average value ≥4. It can be concluded that the book being developed has met the readability and practicality criteria. The study was only conducted up to stage 7 -producing the teaching material of revision draft.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is suspected that educational institutions are facing a decline in the quality of learning because learning cannot take place face-to-face, and teaching materials and learning models applied are still conventional. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the application of project-based hybrid learning in improving the quality of writing thesis proposals for students of the Medan State University (Unimed) Business Education Study Program and see the impact of accompaniment to learning independence and student learning satisfaction. This research method applies quasi-experimental with posttest control group design for experimental and control classes. The research population of all students currently attending the Research Methodology lecture in 2021 is 51, consisting of two classes (A & B). The sample was determined by random sampling, with class A as the experimental class of 26 people and class B as the control class of 25 people. Experimental classes are taught with project-based hybrid learning through Google meet and LMS, and control classes are taught with conventional learning through asynchronous LMS. All participants were tasked with compiling a thesis proposal after finishing the treatment. The difference in the average results of the assessment of the thesis proposals of the two classes was carried out with the Mann-Whitney test because the data were not normally distributed. The results of this study show that the application of project-based hybrid learning is effective in improving the quality of writing thesis proposals, independence, and learning satisfaction.
This study is a development research which aims to improve and produce Econometrics textbook based on EViews application and portfolio of 6 Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) assignments. This book was designed to improve students' ability at mastering Econometrics, whether manually or use EViews application. This study uses research and development method. They are as follows: 1) potential and problem, 2) data collection, 3) product design (draft 1), 4) design validation, 5) design revision (draft 2), 6) small group product testing, 7) first product revision (draft 3), 8) usage testing, 9) second product revision, 10) mass production. The preparation of this book was only up to the seventh stage, namely the revision of first product (draft 3). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Cochran's Q test and paired sample of t test. The results of analysis and discussion of this study indicated that the Econometrics textbook based on EViews application and portfolio of 6 KKNI assignments are valid, effective and meet the criteria of practicality.
