Objetivos: Apresentar o impacto assistencial e financeiro de um modelo de gestão do acesso que envolveu a atuação do fisioterapeuta do Núcleo Ampliado de Saúde da Família sobre a fila de espera de Fisioterapia de 30 Unidades Básicas de Saúde. Métodos: Estudo de caso conduzido à luz dos princípios da equidade e integralidade do cuidado, no contexto de 30 unidades básicas de saúde, contendo 170 equipes de saúde da família com 604.772 pessoas adscritas. Resultados: Aumento na capilaridade das vagas, o que pode ser evidenciado pela redução de até 74,2% da fila de espera de fisioterapia e redução de até 67,9% no tempo médio de espera para o atendimento. No tocante aos resultados financeiros, o número de pacientes que evitaram ocupar vagas de serviços de reabilitação em fisioterapia no recorte temporal do estudo, resultou em economia estima da ordem de US$ 284.097,75. Conclusões: Observou-se economia financeira, além de aumento na capilaridade de atendimento, favorecendo os pacientes mais graves (alta complexidade), que antes competiam por vaga de fisioterapia com os demais pacientes de média e baixa complexidade.
