gerontology and religion); and 4) the book is international in scope. Some chapters in the book are written in English, and others are written in German. This, then, is a highly specialized volume, accessible fully only to those who are bilingual. A limitation of the book is that the English-speaking scholars present points of view on selected topics that are then followed by responses from German-speaking scholars (who are bilingual), and not the other way around-thus, a oneway dialogue, unfortunately. Also, the book would have been able to reach a wider audience had each chapter been offered in both English and German. Perhaps, the most interesting essay in the volume is Kathleen Greider's essay "Religious Multiplicity and Care of Souls," as it observes that many persons today have multiple religious identities; such theorizing is ever more important in our religiously plural age. This book is recommended for bilingual scholars in pastoral theology and psychology of religion.
