Introducción. El mantener una postura correcta en el puesto de trabajo es muy importante para prevenir y evitar el rápido avance de numerosas patologías músculo esqueléticas. Objetivo. Describir la postura y flexibilidad en una muestra de 51 docentes. Metodología. Es un estudio descriptivo transversal. Las personas evaluadas se encuentran mayoritariamente en el rango etario de 25 a 56 años de edad, 40 de género femenino y 11 del masculino, se utilizó para la investigación métodos observacionales como: el test de evaluación postural estática, para postura, el test de Adams para escoliosis, para la flexibilidad isquiosural se aplicó el test de sit and reach. Resultados. Con la evaluación postural estática se evidenció que el 33% del grupo de las personas incluidas en el estudio tiene inclinación derecha de cabeza acompañada de un 69 % de inclinación de hombro derecho. El test de Adams mostró que la mayoría presenta un signo negativo con 94% y solo el 6% signo positivo. El test de flexibilidad permite considerar que en el 29% el nivel de flexibilidad es deficiente, nivel bajo el 25% y nivel muy bajo el 12%. Conclusiones. El personal docente incluido en el estudio no presenta alteraciones graves en su postura, tomando en cuenta que la alteración evidente es en cuello y hombro. En la evaluación de escoliosis con el test de Adams dio negativo y en la evaluación de la flexibilidad el resultado fue que esta es deficiente y baja
