Su presencia en la ˁUmdat aṭ-ṭabīb de Abū l-Ḫayr al-ˀIšbīlī, probable fuente de al-Ġāfiqī, con descripciones y sinonimia más extensas, no sólo ha facilitado su identificación como Jacobaea vulgaris Gaertn. [= Senecio jacobaea L.], sino que, además, los datos léxicos nuevos aclaran otras conexiones etimológicas.
