Generation of volatile species (CVG) from Fe 2+ , Fe 3+ , Cr 3+ , CrO 4 2ˉ, Mn 2+ and MnO 4ˉ ions by reaction with NaBH 4 reductant in HCl, CH 3 COOH and citric acids using gas-liquid phase separation system and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry detection (ICP OES) was reported. The optimized conditions were obtained using low concentrations of HCl (0.05-0.075 mol L -1 ) and NaBH 4 (0.25-1.0% (m/v)). Volatile species were more effectively generated for lower oxidation state of the analytes. Detection limits of 10, 25 and 66 ng mL -1 were achieved for Mn 2+ , Fe 2+ and Cr 3+ , respectively.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
