Jednym z powikłań mogących wystąpić w trakcie leczenia rany oparzeniowej jest jej zakażenie. Następstwem oparzenia są blizny, często powodujące deformacje lub niezadowalający efekt estetyczny. Właściwe schłodzenie rany oparzeniowej przed uzyskaniem profesjonalnej pomocy ma duży wpływ na całokształt procesu leczenia, wraz z jego efektem końcowym. W niniejszej pracy zaprezentowano postępowanie miejscowe zastosowane u 17-miesięcznego pacjenta z raną oparzeniową II stopnia. Wykorzystane w terapii miejscowej opatrunki UrgoClean® Ag i UrgoTul® Ag/Silver doprowadziły do wyleczenia ran w ciągu 7 dni, pozwalając na uniknięcie przykrych powikłań oraz powrót do sprawności, umożliwiający dalszy rozwój dziecka.
