Partindo da especificidade de um museu concebido por um serviço educativo, consideramos o processo de concretização daí decorrente analisando as suas implicações na relação com o público. Questionamos quais os processos de mediação, ativados na conceção do Museu, que possibilitam novos modelos de participação do público no espaço museológico, promovendo condições para um exercício mais democrático e autónomo de produção de conhecimentos e de criação de sentido. Analisando a experiência do Museu nos últimos anos, propomos o toque, a prática oficinal, a ruína e a itinerância como possíveis processos que concretizam essa mediação. Concebemos um museu que, na sua génese, apenas se ativa pela intervenção do visitante; propomos o "Museu Ambulante" enquanto projeto que inclui a participação dos visitantes de locais normalmente distanciados dos centros urbanos e da cultura.
