RESUMEN: En piragüismo slalom, la Práctica Imaginada (PI) es una de las técnicas de preparación mental más utilizadas como rutina precompetitiva. Este trabajo presenta una intervención psicológica para mejorar el afrontamiento de la competición de una piragüista de slalom (n=1; 25 años), a través del uso combinado de PI y auto-habla. La intervención se realizó de forma integrada, durante seis meses, aprovechando entrenamientos regulares, con seguimiento semanal (presencial o a distancia) por parte del psicólogo, para diseñar, practicar y consolidar diferentes tipos de PI (y auto-habla asociada), según las necesidades de la competición (afrontamiento de posibles adversidades, análisis del circuito, preparación de la ejecución, ajuste de activación y concentración pre-salida). Se integraron las PI en el plan de competición y se hizo seguimiento de su aplicación y efectos tras cada competición, a través de autorregistros y feedback con el psicólogo. Los resultados mostraron efectos positivos de la aplicación de la PI sobre la confianza en los propios recursos, el plan de carrera escogido, el estado de ánimo y la capacidad de adaptabilidad. Se concluye que el entrenamiento integrado de la PI y su aplicación sistemática como rutina precompetitiva, influye positivamente en el afrontamiento de la competición.
RESUMEN: Los efectos de las rutinas competitivas sobre el rendimiento han sido ampliamente estudiados. En deportes con pausas tras cada punto jugado, la gestión óptima de las rutinas entre puntos ayuda a los deportistas a mantenerse emocionalmente estables durante todo el partido. Con el objetivo de conseguir una aplicación consistente de las rutinas entre punto, se diseñó una intervención para integrarlas como hábito de entrenamiento. Se trabajó con el grupo de jugadores de tenis de mesa del CAR Sant Cugat Vallès, Barcelona (7 chicas, 4 chicos; M = 15.45 años). Se realizó un taller previo sobre rutinas entre punto y se fijaron éstas de forma individual; durante 12 semanas, los jugadores practicaron y registraron la aplicación de las rutinas; los psicólogos hicieron seguimiento y ofrecieron feedback inmediato a la acción en un entrenamiento por semana; finalmente se comparó la información recogida pre-pos intervención (cuestionario IPED y entrevista semiestructurada sobre uso y efecto de las rutinas). Los resultados a nivel de grupo mostraron una evolución positiva en la aplicación de las rutinas a lo largo de las 12 semanas. Hubo más conciencia en el uso de rutinas y más efectos positivos derivados de ellas en competición que en entrenamiento. El control del lenguaje corporal fue el aspecto incluido en las rutinas que más inconsistencia mostró. En cuanto al análisis pre-pos, se observó una valoración positiva del grupo en relación con el uso y efectividad de las rutinas, especialmente en competición, pero sin diferencias en las subescalas IPED. La utilidad percibida de las rutinas es consistente con hallazgos previos en cuanto a los efectos sobre el rendimiento, y la intervención puede haber contribuido a generar el hábito de usar las rutinas en el entrenamiento, aunque sería necesario seguir explorando formas más objetivas de evaluar el proceso de configuración y el efecto de las rutinas.PALABRAS CLAVES: deportes de raqueta, afrontamiento de competición, rutinas entre punto, gestión emocional, concentración Integration of competitive routines as a training habit in table tennis players ABSTRACT:The effects of competition routines on performance have been widely studied.
