Eichhornia crassipes is well-known as water hyacinth. Water hyacinth grows rapidly in the nutrient-rich water and high light intensity places. The uncontrollable growth of water hyacinth has caused many negative impacts to the environment. For instance, interrupted water transport and decreased population of aquatic lives. The capacity of utilising water hyacinth is slower than water hyacinth growth and water hyacinth is still considered as a threat to theecosystem. This work was focused on the study of the pharmacological activity and heavy metal content of water hyacinth in Lake Cipondoh, Tangerang. Fresh water hyacinth was pre-treated through oven-drying and milling process. After that, each part of the plant was macerated by using multiple extraction method with 96% ethanol/water and three variations of sample-to-solvent ratios (1:30, 1:50, and 1:75 w/v). The result of the experiment showed thatwater hyacinth leaves produced an extract with lowest IC 50 (55.76 ± 6.73 ppm) compared toother parts. The most optimum solvent used to achieve this result was 96% ethanol/water (1:1 v/v). In order to obtain the lowest antioxidant activity, the sample to solvent ratio used was 1:50 and the heavy metal in the extract was very low. With this result, it was concluded that there is a promising opportunity to apply the water hyacinth growing in Lake Cipondoh, Tangerang as herbal medicine ingredient. Through this utilization, the overall number of water hyacinth in Indonesia can be reduced or at the least be controlled, so that the environmental problem caused by this plant can be minimized.
Aplikasi pembelajaran untuk masalah algoritma pengurutan telah banyak diciptakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah pengenalan algoritma-algoritma tersebut yang terbilang sulit kepada khalayak yang lebih luas. Akan tetapi algoritma penyortiran yang dipakai kebanyakan adalah algoritma yang sering dijumpai. Padahal banyak algoritma pengurutan yang terbilang baru dan lebih efisien untuk dipelajari. Salah satunya adalah algoritma super sort.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun aplikasi pembelajaran algoritma super sort berbasis mobile. Algoritma super sort akan diajarkan dalam bentuk materi dan simulasi yang dapat diakses dan digunakan oleh pengguna. Simulasi pengajaran algoritma yang dibuat akan menyangkut semua proses yang terjadi pada algoritma super sort.Pengujian terhadap aplikasi akan menggunakan black box testing. Metode black box testing yang digunakan berupa equivalence partioning, boundary value analysis dan error guessing. Ketiga metode yang telah dilakukan terhadap aplikasi menghasilkan sebuah kesimpulan berupa semua simulasi yang telah diimplementasikan didalam aplikasi pembelajaran telah layak digunakan karena mempuyai persentase keberhasilan sebesar 91.7 % dari semua pengujian yang telah dilakukan.
Forklift is one of the lifting machines that use to lift and move loads which can move loads with a diffirent height without taking a long time than we lift it by people’s strength. The Applications of forklift can be seen at sea port area and loading area in industrial. The design of forklift must be applied to find the hydraulic system and the strenght for the forklift so it will definitely lift the cargo which want to be lifted. Design of forklift consists of design hydraulic system and strength for the forklift.. The design of forklift with 7 tons of capacity will be disscused in this thesis.
This research was aimed at explaining the learning motivation of the second grade of Junior High School students at Sekolah Minggu Buddha Maitreya Medan in learning Mandarin. Besides, the goal of this research was to describe the factors that influence their learning motivation. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. The subjects of this study was 20 students of the second grade of Junior High School students at Sekolah Minggu Buddha Maitreya. Motivation is divided into intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Thus, the study of the students' learning motivation was separated according to the type of motivation. The results showed that there were about 8 students that had intrinsic motivation, while there were about 11 students that had extrinsic motivation. The factors that underlie this finding was due to the difficulty that the students faced in learning Mandarin.
