Structural Investigation of Parvifolinone Transformation Products. -Treatment of parvifolinone (I) with peracetic acid results in the opening of the 8-membered ring to furnish product (III) which reacts with Ac 2 O to yield benzopyranone (V) and arylpyranone (VI).
