OBJECTIVE:To investigate the safety and efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) with embospheres for the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS:Patients with unresectable HCC who were treated with TACE followed by embosphere treatment (Embo-TACE) or conventional TACE (cTACE) between May 2010 and March 2014 were retrospectively included in this study. The Embo-TACE group received lipiodol and chemotherapeutic agent emulsion, followed by embospheres. The cTACE group received lipiodol and chemotherapeutic agent emulsion, followed by gelatin sponge pellets. Time to progression (TTP), overall survival (OS), overall response rate (ORR), and safety were compared between the two groups. Univariate and multivariate regression analyses of the factors affecting survival were conducted. RESULTS:The median TTP and OS in the Embo-TACE group were significantly longer than those in the cTACE group (TPP: 7.0 months vs 5.4 months, P = 0.035; OS: 15 months vs 12 months, P = 0.032). Seven days after the first TACE treatment, alanine aminotransferase level was higher in the cTACE group than in the Embo-TACE group (P = 0.015). The ORR did not significantly differ between the two groups (P = 0.827). Additional therapy and local responses one month after the first TACE treatment were associated with OS. CONCLUSIONS:Embo-TACE resulted in a significant improvement in TTP and OS for patients with unresectable HCC, compared with cTACE. Furthermore, Embo-TACE was better tolerated. Additional therapy and local responses one month after the first TACE were independent prognostic factors for OS.
Sea sand concrete is a kind of concrete in which mixed sea sand as fine aggregate, which is large-scale application in the coastal areas in recent years, especially in Ningbo area. The sea sand solves the problem of river sand shortage, coupled with cheaper price, most of the ready-mixed concrete companies are willing to use desalted sea sand instead of river sand. Many companies even are using sea sand without any treatments.In Ningbo sea sand concrete using wide range of usage is not optimistic. This survey and analysis in Ningbo area physical characteristics of concrete using sea sand and sea-sand. On this basis, chloride simulating sea sand, mixed with desalted sea sand, not desalted sea sand mortar strength measurement, the concrete strength rule were analyzed, and discovered the early strength for the sea sand concrete by the presence of chloride.
In order to know what effect on the yield of alloy elements will be if the steel is melted/refined with the DC arc furnace, the effect of melting and refining with DC-arc on the yield of alloy element has been investigated by a melting experiment, in which the melting/refining is switched to continuous melting/refining with DC-arc after the molten metal is contact with the molten slag for 41 minutes without DC-arc, and by a contrast experiment of melting/refining with DC-arc and with an AC-arc. When DC current passes through the slag-metal interface and the slag-gas interface, the existence of the electrolysis phenomenon during the DC-arc steel melting/refining has been confirmed. Electrolysis participates in the metallurgical reaction. The phenomenon of two or more electrode reactions taking place simultaneously at both the slag-metal interface and the slag-gas interface has also been observed. The two phenomena cause the accelerating loss of the alloy-elements in the molten metal and the decreasing of concentrations of the corresponding oxides in the molten slag. The electrochemical transfer of oxygen from the molten slag to the molten metal ((O2-)=[+2e and (O2-)=1/2O2+2e) at the slag-metal interface has been observed, and causes the increasing of oxygen content in the molten metal.
In the paper, the natural gas engine (NGE)model based on AVL BOOST software is built and simulated. The simulation value and experiment value coincide, showing that the NGE model is correct and reasonable. On this basis, the model has been used to analyze the effect of the key parameters, such as compression ratio, ignition advance angle, valve timing, supercharging ratio on the engine power, maximum combustion pressure, exhaust temperature, the maximum rise rate of pressure. Combined with the relevant theories of engine, the value ranges of the key parameters can be designed. The research achievement is valuable in the development and optimization matching of the NGE.
This paper is to study the sand concrete, sand is mixed with sand as fine aggregate in concrete, in recent years by large-scale applications in the coastal areas, especially in Ningbo, a coastal river sand shortage is resolved this problem, coupled with low prices, most of the commercial concrete companies are willing to play down the use of sand instead of river sand, the paper surveys and analyzes the use of sea sand in Ningbo and the physical characteristics of sea sand, on this basis, simulates sand chloride doped, dilute sea sand, not dilute sand sea sand and fly ash concrete mortar strength was measured to analyze the strength of law, by comparison analysis, the presence of chloride in the early strength concrete sand.
