We explored the precise impacts of trust and perceived risk on the core constructs of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). We applied the UTAUT model to the novel context of the Certified e-Document Authority (CeDA) service used in the Republic of Korea. Our results from structural equation modeling largely supported our hypotheses. Trust and perceived risk were shown to be direct antecedents of intention to use, and trust functioned as an indirect antecedent. Performance expectancy and social influence were shown to positively affect behavioral intention. Effort expectancy was also shown to influence performance expectancy. The combination of trust, perceived risk, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence accounted for 55.3% of the variance observed in users' intention to use CeDA services.Various theoretical models have been used to explain and predict user acceptance of information and communication technology (ICT). Novel Pluronic/heparin composite nanocapsules that exhibit a thermally responsible swelling and deswelling behavior were synthesized. Pluronic F-127 preactivated with p-nitrophenyl chloroformate at its two terminal hydroxyl groups was dissolved in a methylene chloride phase. The organic phase was dispersed in an aqueous phase containing heparin. At an organic/aqueous interface, Pluronic-cross-linked heparin nanocapsules were produced. They exhibited a 1000-fold volume transition (ca. 336 nm at 25 degrees C; ca. 32 nm at 37 degrees C), and a reversible swelling and deswelling behavior when the temperature was cycled between 20 and 37 degrees C. The reversible volume transition of Pluronic nanocapsules was caused by micellization and demicellization of cross-linked Pluronic polymer chains within the nanocapsule structure in response to temperature. The morphological characters were investigated with transmission electron microscopy and small angle neutron scattering. Pluronic/heparin nanocapsules had an aqueous fluid-filled hollow interior with a surrounding shell layer below the critical temperature, but they became a collapsed core/shell structure similar to that of Pluronic micelles above it.
There was no visual benefit after surgery in LMH patients with LHEP. Different surgical indications for LMHs may be warranted based on the presence of LHEP-associated pathology.
An experimental and theoretical investigation has been performed on the effective viscosity of Al2O3-water nanofluids flowing through micrometer- and millimeter-sized circular tubes in the fully developed laminar flow regime. We have discovered that the effective viscosity of Al2O3-water nanofluids increases nonlinearly with the volume concentration of nanoparticles even in the very low range of 0.02–0.3vol% and strongly depends on the ratio of the nanoparticle diameter to the tube diameter. We have developed a modified Einstein model that accounts for the slip mechanism in nanofluids. The new model captures these new rheological features of nanofluids.
