RESUMOA odontologia vem passando por um processo de evolução ao que se refere as técnicas de abordagens de maneira particularizada de um paciente para outro. A endodontia é definida, dentre as especialidades da odontologia, a que se encarrega de promover a limpeza e desinfecção do sistema de canais radiculares, prevenção e tratamento das causas que afetam a polpa, eliminação e máxima redução de agentes irritantes. Durante as fases da terapia endodôntica podem ocorrer acidentes como fraturas de instrumentos, perfurações, degraus e desvios. Por meio de ensaios mecânicos ou de uso clínico, a fratura dos instrumentos endodônticos pode ser avaliada e analisada, podendo ocorrer por carregamento de torção, flexão rotativa, dobramento alternado ou combinações entre eles. Cada caso deve ser avaliado antes da sequência do procedimento, analisando a localização, o tamanho, a forma e a acessibilidade ao instrumento. À vista disto, os Cirurgiões Dentistas (CD) devem estar aptos para solucionar essas eventuais intercorrências com as limas endodônticas, para isso é necessário conhecerem as condutas e técnicas adequadas a serem aplicadas, buscando o reparo dos danos advindos dessas eventuais fraturas. O objetivo desse trabalho é revisar a literatura científica sobre os tipos de fratura de limas endodônticas e sua implicação no tratamento endodôntico.
Objetivo: Efetuar uma revisão narrativa sobre os recursos terapêuticos para tratamento das lesões dentárias, provocadas pelas cáries, empregando técnicas minimamente invasivas. Revisão bibliográfica: Nos dias atuais a utilização de técnicas que visam as condutas de mínima invasão, nos inúmeros âmbitos que envolvem a área da saúde, vem progredindo constantemente. Quando se relaciona as técnicas utilizadas de maneira minimamente invasiva pelos Cirurgiões Dentistas constata-se que essas condutas vêm progredindo gradualmente, procurando em todo o tempo levar em consideração os processos biológicos inerentes aos tecidos que envolvem os dentes, implicando, dessa forma, na constatação de que os materiais utilizados para a restauração possuem características biológicas inferiores aos tecidos naturais presentes nos elementos dentários. Com o aperfeiçoamento das técnicas e materiais adesivos, observou-se uma postura diferenciada dos profissionais, principalmente os mais jovens, que desenvolveram uma mentalidade mais consciente quanto à manutenção destas estruturas no decorrer das técnicas restauradoras. Considerações finais: A Odontologia Minimamente Invasiva tem demostrado efetividade nos tratamentos estabelecidos, deixando claro que o melhoramento dos materiais restauradores, que possuem atribuições para agirem com características adesivas, é de bastante relevância na forma da conduta clínica estabelecida pelo profissional.
A erosão dental é caracterizada pela desmineralização da camada superficial do esmalte, seguido pela perda da estrutura dentária devido ao contato frequente com ácidos. Esse desgaste é facilmente confundido com a abrasão e a atrição, que também acometem a superfície dos dentes, porém têm origem através de processos físico mecânicos. A evolução do processo erosivo resulta em lesões que, concomitantemente, acarretam problemas estéticos e funcionais, incluindo efeitos psicossociais negativos. Devido a ingestão desmedida, do paciente, à alimentos ácidos, o acompanhamento e a supervisão da dieta relacionada a essa patologia são primordiais para uma etapa de prevenção, antes de intervir com algum procedimento restaurador. O método reparador, com materiais odontológicos, previne a progressão, porém, o tratamento não deve ser feito de forma isolada. O presente estudo consiste em uma revisão bibliográfica para construção de uma investigação proposta baseado em livros, artigos e revistas disponíveis nas bases de dados Scielo, PubMed, Google Acadêmico e Bireme-BVS, considerando que as adaptações na dieta do paciente têm grande influência nas causas e consequências do desgaste dental, existindo a necessidade de acompanhamento multiprofissional e especializado.
