El presente ejercicio investigativo pretendió determinar la influencia de la virtualidad en el aprendizaje de la lengua inglesa en los estudiantes de sexto y séptimo grado de la Institución Educativa Pablo Sexto, del Municipio de Dosquebradas, que, bajo un enfoque cualitativo con diseño fenomenológico, comienza a partir del camino que otros han recorrido, recogiendo las experiencias que respecto al tema otros investigadores, tanto a nivel local como nacional e internacional, aportan a la propuesta para enriquecer el proceso. Esta propuesta tuvo como objetivo averiguar los sentires emocionales y comportamentales de los estudiantes en el proceso de aprendizaje del inglés como lengua extranjera, a través de estrategias virtuales. De manera particular, abordó los conceptos concernientes al desarrollo humano y sus influencias, la virtualidad y el contexto de la enseñanza del inglés. Define una ruta a seguir desde lo cualitativo y obtener la información de los estudiantes mediante entrevista semiestructurada para establecer las impresiones emocionales, las estrategias y las expectativas del aprendizaje del idioma inglés mediante la virtualidad. Dado todo esto, se concluye que, en lo que respecta a las emociones, estas pueden variar según los intereses y las expectativas de los estudiantes, ya que podrían ser guiadas por factores objetivos o subjetivos. Otras, se refieren a las expectativas que la virtualidad crea en cada uno, que se puede esperar de este proceso como herramienta efectiva para la adquisición de la lengua inglesa. Asimismo, las estrategias que favorecen el aprendizaje y un proceso exitoso en estos tiempos de pandemia y no presencialidad. Todos estos elementos determinan la influencia de la virtualidad para llevar a cabo el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés, que acercan aún más al estudiante al idioma e incrementan la motivación.
Este libro condensa, por un lado, el sentido de lo pedagógico como maneras prácticas de resolver situaciones en contexto, por lo que deja herramientas valiosas de construcción a instituciones educativas de básica primaria, secundaria, media y superior. Por otro lado, presenta la circulación de las lecturas que se hacen desde el desarrollo humano, en la búsqueda de sentidos; un desarrollo humano que potencia la persona y le apoya en la construcción de su proyecto de vida.

En este capítulo, se presentan la discusión y las conclusiones de la tesis de doctorado Prácticas de reconocimiento en jóvenes universitarios de primer semestre de la Universidad Católica. El objetivo es comprender la configuración de las prácticas de reconocimiento (dimensión afectiva, de derecho y solidaria) en jóvenes universitarios de primer semestre de la Universidad Católica de Pereira (UCP). Se utiliza una metodología mixta, con dominancia cualitativa; el trabajo de campo se hizo a través de cuestionarios Google y entrevista semiestructurada. Se encuentran unas respuestas con códigos correspondientes a respuestas directas de los participantes, que sirven para comprender las dinámicas que se plantean a través de la teoría crítica. Lo más significativo y novedoso encontrado es la movilización que se teje del concepto de autorrespeto y su concepción en la juventud, y el traslado subjetivo que, por más que se les pregunta por el sujeto, las respuestas se encaminan hacia la persona
