INTRODUÇÃO: A dengue caracteriza-se como uma doença infecciosa viral aguda transmitida pela picada do mosquito Aedes aegypti, sendo um importante problema de saúde pública. OBJETIVO: Avaliar o perfil epidemiológico dos casos de dengue no município de Palmas – Tocantins entre os anos de 2015 a 2017. MÉTODO: Este e um estudo descritivo, retrospectivo, quantitativo, com informações baseadas em dados secundários no Sistema de Informação de Agravo de Notificação (SINAN) sobre dengue no período de 2015 a 2017, com levantamento de dados bibliográfico em bases eletrônicas. RESULTADOS: Durante o período analisado foram notificados 7.897 casos de dengue, a maioria no ano de 2015. A prevalência foi no sexo feminino com 4.052 (51,31%) e na faixa etária de 20-29 anos 3.635 (46,03%), com o período sazonal de novembro a maio, época de índices pluviométricos mais altos, facilitando a procriação e circulação do vetor. Na quase totalidade dos casos notificados apresentou cura (93,82%) como evolução dos casos. CONCLUSÕES: Conclui-se que apesar de ter uma diminuição no número de notificações, a dengue ainda continua sendo um problema de saúde para a população mundial, sendo necessária medidas de controle, prevenção e combate ao mosquito Aedes aegypti.
