Business environment across different time periods of transition is challenged from different implications, such as: political and institutional instability, inadequate laws and corruption steadily and continuously increasing in transition countries. The main overview of research paper is focused in process of reforms and priority in business environment in transition countries. Then is identify the main obstacles and difficulties that business environment is faced in Kosovo and in detail is presented the reforms that are made from Kosovo institutions in business environment over the past few years. Through OLS method are analyzed separately three main areas that are included in research paper (institutions, law and corruption in business environment). The results have shown that institutions (through business policies) have positive impact on business environment, but political stability in Kosovo has negative impact in business environment. In analysis between law and business environment is appeared that role of law has negative impact in business environment, but protecting investors (through law) has shown positive impact in business environment. In the third analysis of corruption both variables (corruption and bribery) have shown positive impact in business environment in Kosovo. Kosovo should establish sustainable institutions, enforce the law and to reduce drastically the corruption, these are the main priority for a stable business environment. Furthermore, Kosovo should continue to improve the process of reforms in order to create a favorable business environment (such is in developed countries).
In this research paper is analyzed corruption and bribery on transition economies with case study of SEE countries and the main theoretical arguments for discussions are as following: the effect of corruption in economic growth, mobilization of different countries or institutions against corruption (prevent corruption through institutional policies and anti -corruption programs), the level of corruption in SEE countries, effect of corruption in public sector and in economic efficiency. In methodology, the secondary data that used are collected from international institutions and they are calculated through STATA program. The main analyses are descriptive statistic, OLS method of regression and correlation matrix. The variables that are used in research paper are: corruption and bribery & bureaucracy costs (as dependent variable), then economic growth, political stability, economic freedom, transition reforms and education index (as independent variables). Based on empirical results, in the OLS analysis is found that corruption has positive impact on economic growth but bribery and has negative impact on economic growth of SEE countries then in T-statistic analysis all independent variables have shown negative significance (T<2) on corruption and bribery. In correlation methods, economic growth has higher negative correlation with bribery than with corruption. In conclusion, all of SEE countries must attempt to fight against corruption and it is very serious problem for economic sustainable, political stability and institutional consolidation, process of integration and in other important challenges. In fact, corruption index in 2014 shown that the most of SEE countries are ranking under 50 out 100, it means high level of corruption.
In this research paper is analyzed the impact of government policy and transition reforms on Economic Growth (in Kosovo) in period of time 2011 -2014. The variables that are used are as following: economic growth (as dependent variable), corruption index, political stability, exchange rate, transition reforms, control of corruption, and labor market (as independent variables). The data collections are from international and domestic institutions. They are used and calculated through STATA program. The main objectives in the research paper are as following: What is the effect of these factors in economic growth during period time of research? What is the impacted of corruption and control of corruption in economic growth? What is the stimulation of economic growth by government effectiveness, transition reforms and labor market? How much is the correlation between economic growth? The data are calculated by different regression methods: descriptive statistic, OLS method of regression, correlation matrix. In OLS method, the result shown that only transition reforms have positive impact on economic growth but all other reforms have negative impact. Based on this all variables in T-statistic analysis have shown negative significance (T<2) on economic growth. In correlation matrix, transition reforms and government effectiveness have shown positive correlation excluding all other variables that have shown negative correlation with economic growth.
