Tejiendo Paz desde las Aulas es un texto en el que se reúnen las voces de diferentes investigadoras e investigadores latinoamericanos en torno a un tema que debe ser fundamental en la formación de los maestros. El texto, desde su título, es una apuesta por la revisión juiciosa de uno de los aspectos más importantes en el escenario de la vida cotidiana de la escuela: la convivencia escolar. Como en una representación teatral se reúnen todos los días en la escuela los distintos actores que, en el cumplimiento de sus roles, toman diversas actitudes que determinan las relaciones que entre ellos se establecen. Adultos, niños y adolescentes, reacomodan sus formas de actuar para establecer las normas de convivencia en la escuela. En este punto es pertinente aclarar que, cuando se habla de normas, no necesariamente se hace referencia a las aceptadas por los sistemas educativos; en la mayoría de los casos estas normas que rigen los comportamientos (especialmente entre los estudiantes), son normas recreadas a partir de las vivencias que en algunos casos se constituyen en una normalización de la agresión escolar.
En este estudio de diseño cualitativo, se aplicaron 20 entrevistas a hombres que actualmente se desempeñan como facilitadores de conflictos en varias Fiscalías del país, con la finalidad de conocer a través de la narrativa del facilitador cuál es su percepción de masculinidad y cómo esta percepción influye en su labor profesional al desahogar un procedimiento de justicia restaurativa cuando una de las partes es un hombre violento. El análisis de la información se realizó desde un enfoque temático siguiendo la propuesta de Braun y Clarke (2006), para la organización y el tratamiento de la información se empleó el software cualitativo Atlas.Ti. Entre los hallazgos más significativos pudimos conocer cuál es la percepción que los facilitadores tienen de conceptos como masculinidad y sus características, nuevas masculinidades y su relación con la resolución de conflictos, y, cómo entorno a estos conceptos, es posible reestructurar el papel que como facilitador le corresponde en los procesos de justicia restaurativa.
Una vez que se declaró pandemia a nivel mundial, muchas actividades habituales cambiaron de modalidad presencial a en línea. En temas de justicia no fue la excepción y en México, específicamente en materia de mediación, las mediaciones que ordinariamente se llevaban en las instituciones de manera presencial, ahora se realizan de manera virtual. Lo anterior exige garantizar que los procesos que ahora se llevan en línea, tengan las mismas garantías que los procesos presenciales y en su caso se identifiquen las áreas de oportunidad para que se trabaje en ellas lo antes posible. Se aplicaron 25 entrevistas a personas que actualmente se desempeñan como mediadores en el Poder Judicial del Estado de Nuevo León con el objetivo de conocer cuál ha sido su experiencia con el procedimiento de mediación en línea.
