Os educandos da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) já possuem uma maturidade advinda da própria experiência de vida o que influência diretamente no modo de perceber, compreender e fazer Matemática. Neste sentido o processo metodológico trabalhado nesta modalidade precisa ter um olhar para essas especificidades. Deste modo, o presente estudo que é vinculado às ações do Grupo de Pesquisa Formação de Professores e Práticas Educativas FORPPE da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande - FURG, tem como objetivo identificar como a EJA é contemplada no Quadro de Sequência Lógica (QSL) e nos Trabalhos de Conclusão de Curso(TCC) dos cursos de Matemática Licenciatura das Universidades Federais da região Sul do Brasil. Em um primeiro momento buscou-se identificar quantas Universidades Federais há na região Sul do Brasil, no qualforam encontradas onze Universidades. Em um segundo momento buscou-se nos QSL alguma disciplina que tivesse em sua denominação a expressão “EJA” ou “Educação de Jovens e Adultos”, bem como, se a disciplina era de caráter obrigatório, complementar ou optativo, além de suas respectivas ementas e carga horária. Comoresultado destacou-se que apenas quatro dessas instituições oferecem a disciplina. Na sequência, a análise foi concentrada em todas as ementas contidas nos QSL, sendo verificado que em apenas duas Universidades a temática é abordada, em parte da ementa de disciplinas caráter obrigatório. Finalmente, em um terceiro momento buscou-se identificar se a temática EJA era abordada nos TCC e como resultado obteve-se dez trabalhos, cujas práticas pedagógicas concentravam-se nessa modalidade de ensino.
