The application of C[1]magnesocenophanes in dehydrocoupling catalysis is reported. Two new cycloalkylidenebridged C[1]magnesocenophanes were synthesized and structurally characterized. These C[1]magnesocenophanes were used as catalysts in amine−borane dehydrocoupling and, more extensively, in amine−silane cross-dehydrocoupling. The substrate scope, involving different aliphatic, aromatic, and benzylic amines, was probed and the mechanism of this cross-dehydrocoupling catalysis was investigated.
The synthesis and characterization of bis(di-tert-butylindenyl) germanium(ii), tin(ii) and lead(ii) complexes are reported, which includes the first structurally authenticated example of a bis(indenyl)germanocene.
(Pyrrolidinyldimethylsilyl)tetramethylcyclopentadienide complexes of lithium, sodium and potassium were synthesized and characterized, including crystal structure determinations. The lithium cyclopentadienide compound was used as a Cp transfer reagent to prepare the corresponding ferrocene, stannocene and plumbocene.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
