O objetivo do presente estudo foi revisar as evidências sobre o efeito do treinamento de força sobre a qualidade de vida de idosos. A busca foi feita na base de dados do Scielo, sendo incluídos artigos publicados entre 2010 e dezembro de 2021. Durante a pesquisa, descritores como “treinamento de força”, “exercício resistido”, “exercício físico”, “idoso” e “qualidade de vida” foram utilizados nos campos de busca das bases de dados. Foram encontrados um total de 259 artigos e, após passarem pelos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram analisados e incluídos 4 artigos na presente revisão. De forma majoritária, todos os artigos incluídos indicam efeitos positivos do treinamento de força sobre a qualidade de vida de idosos, sugerindo que o mesmo é eficaz em diversas dimensões consideradas para a avaliação da qualidade de vida. Conclui-se que treinamento resistido é um dos fatores de grande importância para a melhor qualidade de vida, pois faz com que o individua tenha uma melhora em vários aspectos de sua vida, assim sendo de suma importância. Com isso é possível concluir através dos dados obtidos que a atividade física é um dos principais fatores que contribui para a melhor qualidade de vida.
