RESUMO Objetivo analisar as características individuais, clínicas e os fatores associados à mortalidade de pacientes com COVID-19, em hospital público do estado do Paraná, Brasil. Métodos estudo seccional, retrospectivo, documental (n= 86), com pacientes adultos internados, de março a junho de 2020. Resultados a mortalidade foi de 12,8%, o grupo de maior risco foi de idosos com comorbidades, especialmente, cardiovasculares. A chance de óbito foi 58 vezes maior em idosos, comparada aos adultos, e oito vezes maior naqueles com comorbidades, comparadas aos hígidos. A maioria dos pacientes apresentou sintomatologia respiratória, febre e mialgia. Tratamento à base de antibióticos, anticoagulantes e antivirais, associado ao suporte ventilatório. As principais complicações foram hipóxia, insuficiência renal aguda e infecção secundária. Conclusão e implicações para a prática idosos com comorbidades cardiovasculares que necessitaram de cuidados intensivos apresentaram maior chance de óbito. Os resultados de um dos centros de referência na pandemia possibilitam discutir medidas epidemiológicas adotadas, com ênfase em conceitos restritivos nos primeiros meses.
Objetivo: Desenvolver aplicativos móveis para subsidiar a avaliação clínica, a beira leito, de enfermeiros em pacientes hospitalizados. Método: Pesquisa metodológica, de produção tecnológica, desenvolvida em duas fases: exploratória, constituída pela revisão de literatura e análise de conteúdo das informações do questionário aplicado com os participantes; e de desenvolvimento das tecnologias assistenciais, formada por definição de requisitos e elaboração do mapa conceitual dos aplicativos, geração das alternativas de implementação e avaliação preliminar. Resultados: Desenvolveram-se quatro aplicativos: AVALIA TIS – Paciente Clínico; AVALIA TIS – Paciente Cirúrgico; AVALIA TIS – Paciente Crítico; AVALIA TIS – Cuidados Paliativos. Conclusões: Os aplicativos desenvolvidos consistem em inovação na coleta de dados para avaliação clínica de pacientes hospitalizados, apresentam estrutura simples e acessível, permitem que enfermeiros realizem avaliação clínica viável ao processo de trabalho, utilizando-se do raciocínio clínico e pensamento crítico, instrumentos que fortalecem a ciência do cuidado.
Objetivo: analisar a produção científica acerca da COVID-19 na área da enfermagem nos periódicos da área no Brasil. Materiais e Método: revisão integrativa de literatura, cuja busca foi norteada pela estratégia PICOT, sendo: P – Enfermagem; I – não se aplica; C – não se aplica; O – COVID-19; T – 2020-2021. Os estudos foram buscados na SciELO e BVS. Resultados: selecionaram-se 23 artigos disponíveis em inglês e português, publicados em periódicos nacionais. Quanto ao ano, 11 foram publicados em 2020 e 12, em 2021. Dividiram-nos em três categorias: (1) cuidados de enfermagem (n=11); (2) processo de trabalho da enfermagem (n=9); e (3) tecnologia para assistência de enfermagem na COVID-19 (n=3), quanto ao desenho do estudo, encontraram-se que a maioria era relato de experiência (56%) seguido por estudo metodológico (17%). Conclusão: os profissionais buscam fundamentar a prática assistencial em evidências científicas e, desta forma, encontraram-se diversas categorias de estudo, tanto artigos originais como reflexão, relatos de experiências e revisões, os quais contribuem para discussão e construção do conhecimento da enfermagem acerca da COVID-19.
