Writing and research on depression and suicidal ideation for this undergraduate thesis has been a unique and treasured learning experience made possible by many individuals. I would like to thank my thesis advisor, Dr. Tina Burdsall, for her outstanding guidance and support in my efforts. I would also like to thank Dr. Ann Marie Fallon, who has shared her knowledge and guidance with me throughout my entire undergraduate career. Additionally, I would like to thank the Portland State Honors College and my honors colleagues for providing a program in which I have been able to grow and make connections that would have otherwise been missed. I would like to thank my family and friends who have loved and supported me throughout my life and education. Finally, I would like to thank all the professors that went above and beyond to make me think, question, and flourish. This work would not have been possible if not for the support and guidance of many individuals, and to whom I am sincerely grateful.
