Identification of practitioners with low TZSRs compared with their peers allows these individuals to be selected for personalized observation and training by a specialist in cervical cytology which can lead to an improvement in TZSR. As previous studies show a significant correlation between the TZSR and the detection rate of cytological abnormality it is useful to investigate low TZSRs.
A team of East Sussex practice nurses have been planning the 2010 Royal College of Nursing Practice Nurse Association annual conference since 2004. That was when we put in our bid at the Winchester conference. We wanted this conference to be 10 years on from when Brighton held the conference in 2000. Some of us were part of the Brighton conference so it is interesting to see how times have changed.
The 27th RCN Practice Nurses’ Association (PNA) Annual Conference and Exhibition was held in Eastbourne at the end of June 2010. It delivered a packed agenda to a lively audience of practice nurses from the UK and across the world. As chair of the conference organizing committee, I could not believe that 6�years after putting in a bid to hold the annual PNA conference, the time had finally arrived. The committee had spent the last year planning: arranging speakers, venue, evening entertainment, and much more.
