O presente trabalho teve como objetivo o desenvolvimento de processos catalíticos baseados em catalisadores homogêneo para a hidrogenação do CO2 e furfural (um importante derivados de biomassa). Para atingir este objetivo, uma série de catalisadores organometálicos solúveis em água, baseados em complexos metálicos de Ir e Rh com grupos aromáticos (fenantrolina e ciclopentadienila), foram sintetizados com diferentes grupos substituintes (NH2, NO2 e H). Os resultados obtidos mostram que o CO2 pode ser eficientemente reduzido a álcoois diversos (metanol, etanol isopropanol e butanol) em temperaturas de 40 0 C utilizando uma mistura reacional constituída por água e CO2 supercrítico. Nosso sistema catalítico foi capaz de converter CO2 a butanol com seletividade superior a 95%. Ficando igualmente demostrado o impacto da quantidade de água na seletividade dos diferentes catalisadores preparados. Além disso, foi igualmente proposto o mecanismo de reação para a conversão de CO2 a metanol, através de cálculos teóricos e análise de ESI-MS de diferentes intermediários de reação. Por outro lado, a conversão de furfural a álcool furfurílico foi bastante bemsucedida utilizando os mesmos catalisadores organometálicos, mostrando deste modo a sua enorme versatilidade para a hidrogenação em condições suaves. Os resultados para conversão de furfural a álcool furfurílico mostram ser possível obter uma conversão de furfural >99% exibindo uma seletividade de aproximadamente 90% em temperaturas menores de 120 0 C.
Neste trabalho realizou-se um estudo espectroscópico vibracional do dissulfeto de carbono, CS 2 , puro e em misturas binárias com diferentes solventes moleculares, a fim de investigar as interações soluto/soluto e soluto/solvente. Os solventes utilizados para esse estudo foram diclorometano (CH 2 Cl 2), clorofórmio (CHCl 3), clorofórmio deuterado (CDCl 3), benzeno (C 6 H 6) e tetracloreto de carbono (CCl 4); e as técnicas utilizadas foram as espectroscopias Raman e infravermelho (IV). A análise das bandas Raman do CS 2 que formam o dubleto de Fermi ( 1-2 2) permite determinar uma série de valores empíricos, chamados de parâmetros de ressonância de Fermi, dentre os quais, o coeficiente de acoplamento de Fermi (W) foi o mais utilizado neste trabalho. Os diferentes valores de W nos diferentes meios são consequência das forças das interações intermoleculares existentes entre CS 2 /CS 2 e CS 2 /solvente. Os experimentos demonstraram que os valores de W em todas as misturas binárias investigadas aumentam à medida que a fração molar de CS 2 diminui. Isto sugere que quando o CS 2 é solvatado por diferentes moléculas, há um aumento da anarmonicidade, dependendo do tipo de interação. A análise da banda atribuída ao modo de deformação angular do CS 2 , 2 , realizada a partir dos espectros no infravermelho sugere que em misturas binárias existem dois regimes de solvatação na solução, uma referente às interações CS 2 / CS 2 , onde as moléculas de CS 2 estão preferencialmente solvatadas por moléculas de CS 2 e outro regime de solvatação referente às interações CS 2 /solvente, onde CS 2 está solvatado por moléculas do solvente em questão.
