In this study, a novel analytical method for new class of linear-phase two-dimensional (2D) finite impulse response (FIR) filter functions with full effect of Hilbert transformer in z 1 and z 2 domains generated by applying a new modified 2D Christoffel-Darboux formula for classical orthogonal Chebyshev polynomials of the first and the second kind is proposed. Fundamental research proposed in this study is also illustrated by examples of 2D FIR filter, Hilbert transformer and adequate comparison with new class of multiplierless linear-phase 2D FIR filter function given in the literature. For all 2D FIR filter functions, comparisons are made for the same values of free real parameters, and they show the improvement of the spike sharpness.

The advances of the information and telecommunication technologies, based on multimedia and global network, causes innovations in the field of measurement and data acquisition systems. Low price of microprocessor's components and systems made possible the realization of the systems with distributed data processing. A model used in realization of a measurement laboratory for remote data acquisition is described in this paper. This virtual laboratory provides clients to access measuring system via Internet and directly carry out real experiments, and it is used for the students of electronic measurement course. The laboratory architecture and way and realization of user access to the measurement system are explained into detail.

The progress of the telecommunication technologies based on multimedia and Internet opened up a new field in area of measurement. Modern data acquisition systems are consisted of a number of intelligent units, usually located near the process or driven objects. Thus, virtual laboratories are invented after the Internet accessible systems first realizations. In this paper we will explain our realization of a distance measurement laboratory for intelligent measurement module characteristics verification, with a special turn on software part.

The paper presents detailed analysis of the size of pass-band and stop-band of multiplierless linear-phase 2D FIR filter function with diamond sharpness spike. Normalized surface area of the filter function pass-band is 8,148153 x 10 -5 for given maximal attenuation of 0,28 dB. Normalized surface area of the filter function stop-band is 98,6931156 % for the given minimal attenuation of 100 dB.
