Introducción: El delito sexual es un problema de salud pública que ha ido incrementando con el paso del tiempo; afecta a la población en general, especialmente a los niños, niñas y adolescentes y personas en condición de vulnerabilidad, siendo el periodo del confinamiento obligatorio por Covid-19 un posible determinante del aumento del “posible delito sexual” en menores de 18 años, como lo denomina el Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses. Objetivos: Analizar el comportamiento del delito sexual en menores de 18 años en el periodo de 2015-2019 en comparación con el confinamiento por Covid-19 en Bogotá en el primer semestre del año 2020. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio ecológico descriptivo sobre casos de posible delito sexual en menores de 18 años en Bogotá y Colombia entre 2015-2020-I basado en datos reportados por el DANE y el Observatorio de Violencia del Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal en la sección de cifras preliminares de lesiones no fatales de causa externa en Colombia. Se realizó la tabulación y el manejo de información en Excel mediante gráficas de indicadores, tasa y casos. Resultados: Se obtuvo un total de 111.372 casos (Colombia) y 19.930 casos (Bogotá) en menores de edad víctimas de posible delito sexual durante 2015-2020-I, observándose una tendencia al aumento entre 2015 a 2019, mientras que en el periodo 2020-I se evidencio una disminución en el registro de casos, especialmente para el mes de abril. Conclusión: El presunto delito sexual en Colombia y Bogotá tuvo una tendencia al aumento durante 2015 a 2019, teniendo mayor tasa en el mes de mayo. En el primer periodo del año 2020 se redujeron los casos desde el mes de marzo, coincidiendo con el inicio del confinamiento obligatorio por la llegada del Covid-19
