Dezember 1962) R E S U M E :Dans le present article est propos6 un mbcanisme de la polymbrisation stdrkospbcifique de l'isoprkne par le lithium mdtallique. Cette polymbrisation se fait par l'intermkdiaire de composds organolithiens solubles dont le caractere difonctionnel a pu 8tre mis en bvidence par des essais de copolym6risation sdquencbe. L'btude des vitesses de polymbrisation et des masses moldculaires des polymbres obtenus a montrb que, lorsque les extrBrnit6s organo mdtalliques de ces composbs ne sont pas engagdes dans des complexes d'association, elles sont responsables de la polymdrisation simplement par additions successiv-es de molbcules de monomere. ZUSAMMENFASSUNG:Es wird ein PolymerisationsprozeB von Isopren mittels metallischen Lithiums vorgeschlagen. Diese Polymerisation wird durch losliche Organolithiumverbindungen hervorgerufen, deren beide Kohlenstoff-Lithiumbindungen mit Hilfe von Blockpolymerisationsversuchen bewiesen wurden. Polymerisationsgeschwindigkeit sowie Molekulargewicht der erhaltenen Polymeren ergeben, daB die organometallischen Kettenenden, solange sie nicht an Assoziationskomplexen teilnehmen, eine einfache Aneinanderreihung der Monomermolekiile zustande bringen. * ) Ce travail a bt6 effectuk au Centre de Recherches sur les Macromol6cules de Strasbourg dans le cadre d'une thbse no 221/DE soutenue B Strasbourg le 21 Juin 1962.
