33SNMR spectra have been obtained in the Ff mode for some sulphones and sulphonic acids. The investigated compounds show narrow resonance l i m e s . In the case of sulphones, the range of 33S chemical shifts is sufficiently wide, i.e. the effects due to changes in substituents are signsficant enough to allow further use of the "S NMR of sulphones for quantitative analysis in petroleum chedstry.
